July 18, 2011: Boy Gets Naked in N.Y. Pinky-voodo Film.

You’ll recall that back in May rumors were going wild about a new-New York short staring Pinky, this time with Director Manolo Celi. Well folks, we got our paws on it.

Check out the film.  It’s fucking awesome, if you’re a teenaged girl, a middle aged door-man or pretty much anyone else.  The film features a young man in N.Y. who, in search of a love potion, visits his cousin claiming to be a wizard.  After taking some trix (a magic gummi bear), our hero is transformed into Pinky the bear.  Needless to say, things don’t go as expected.  Manolo Celi, N.Y. Director who packs McDonald’s, State Farm and Volkswagen under his creative belt, has a saying he’s proud to tell you, “Everything is significant.” And it seems that with this N.Y. director of choice, everything in fact, is. Manolo has milked the cream out of life until now, he has been a waiter, a stock boy, a gofer, a writer, a producer, an actor, an agency producer, an executive assistant, a casting director, an assistant director, unemployed, a director of photography, a tennis instructor, an unlicensed psychologist to friends and family, and a rather profitable NYC subway musician.

But the big news is that Manolo has just wrapped on his first feature film, and if that hasn’t kept him busy enough, he’s just become a father (the real thing, not a new spot).

Manolo works internationally, he’s recently been featured in the Unusuals I’M I AM book of Contemporary advertising filmmakers in Cannes, digs psychedelic, prog-rock, bossa nova folk music, is repped for commercials by Green Tea Films, Big Fish Films (in SW USA), La Suite Films (in Mexico), The Elevator (for T.V. programming and content), & Manolo can be found the commercial film network  Unusuals.
