01.25.11 NYC: Seedy Sex in the City with happy ending, film revealed

After several weeks of tireless empty web searches, we found it.

That’s right,  a film documenting Pinky’s Dantesque exploration of the NY seedy underworld, Chinatown.  The film, attributed to commercial film director Ben Weinstein follows Pinky the Bear through spots where we assume other sleazy, nefarious types will accept him for who he is.  But instead, Pinky faces an onslaught of anti-bear racism, name calling and outcast.   The story seems simple enough;  Pinky, the mini-transsexual-commercial-stylist-bear, assumes the hunt for the perfect noodle, but his/her journey takes a sharp turn for the worst after a self-hate overdose on M.S.G. (a dangerous chinese hallucinogen). Dazed and confused, Pinky winds up in an underground massage parlor – where fortunately, the day’s journey comes to a “happy ending.”   Weinstein, who directed that fire-breathing goat commercial, is no stranger to wheres-the-bear.com, contributing to the project last November when rumors of the filming in Chinatown first hit the Ad radar.
